Tölt Classes
All Tölt classes start with the letter T followed by a number. Some classes are ridden with other competitors on the track at the same time known as a group class (test), and others are ridden with a single competitor on the track known as a individual class (test)
T1
Riders compete individually and show:
• One round of slow tölt
• Change the rein
• One round of slow tölt with fast tölt on the long sides
• One round of fast tölt
T2
Loose rein tölt. Riders compete individually and show:
• One round of any speed tölt
• One round of slow tölt
• Change the rein
• One round of slow to medium tölt with both reins held in one hand

T3 - 2025 Class
Riders compete in small groups of up to three riders and show:
- Slow tölt.
- Return to walk and change rein.
- Slow tölt; lengthen stride distinctly on the long sides, on the short sides slow.
- Fast tölt.
T4 - 2025 Class
Riders compete in small groups of up to three riders and show:
- Any speed tölt.
- Slow, steady and calm speed tölt.
- Return to walk and change rein.
- Slow to medium speed tölt, holding both reins in one hand clearly showing no rein contact with the horse’s mouth.
T5
Riders compete in groups of up to five riders and show:
- Slow tölt Return to walk and change rein
- Fast tölt on the long sides, slow tölt on the short sides
T6 - 2025 Class
Loose rein tölt. Riders compete in groups of up to five riders and show:
• slow to medium speed tölt
• change rein
• slow to medium speed tölt: on the long sides holding both reins
in one hand
T7 - 2025 Class
Riders compete in groups of up to five riders and show:
• slow tölt
• change the rein
• any speed tölt
T8 - 2025 Class
Riders compete in groups of up to five riders and show:
- Any speed tölt
- Return to walk and change rein
- Any speed tölt
